Terms of business

1. Parties

These terms apply between WDL Digital Ltd (company number 12944648, registered office 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX), trading as Streak Free Websites, and the client named on the quote. They apply to every quote we issue and take precedence over any terms the client sends us.

2. The build

2.1 The package, price and page count are stated on the quote. Prices are in pounds sterling; we are not registered for VAT.
2.2 50% of the build price is payable before work starts and 50% on the client's written approval of the preview site. The site goes live on receipt of the balance.
2.3 Two rounds of revisions are included. A round is one consolidated list of changes. Further rounds are quoted in advance.
2.4 Timescales run from the day the client returns the brief and are estimates.

3. Content and photographs

3.1 The client warrants that any text, photographs, logos, reviews and accreditation details supplied are accurate, are the client's to use, and where they show identifiable people or premises have the necessary consent.
3.2 We will not publish a review, statistic or claim that the client cannot evidence. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 it is an offence to publish fake or misleading reviews; the client is responsible for the reviews it supplies.
3.3 We do not use stock photography.

4. Care plan

4.1 Every site we build is hosted on our care plan at £50 a month, which covers hosting, domain renewal, one mailbox, security and technical updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring and one small change a month (under 30 minutes).
4.2 The plan is monthly, rolling, with no minimum term. Either party may end it with 30 days written notice. No exit fee is charged.
4.3 On ending the plan we supply the site files and the domain transfer authorisation within 14 days. The client owns the site and the domain at all times.

5. Search and AI visibility

5.1 The growth plans (Local, £497 a month for 10 keywords; Area, £1,997 a month for 50 keywords) are monthly, rolling, no minimum term, 30 days notice.
5.2 We report keyword positions monthly and AI visibility quarterly. We do not guarantee any position, traffic level or number of enquiries, and no statement on our website or in a report is a guarantee.
5.3 We do not buy links, generate reviews or publish content ranking the client above competitors.

6. Ownership

On payment in full the client owns the site, its content and the domain. We retain the right to show the site in our portfolio unless the client asks us not to.

7. Data protection

7.1 Where we host the client's site and process enquiries on the client's behalf we act as processor and the client as controller under UK GDPR. We process enquiry data only to deliver it to the client, keep it no longer than 90 days, and delete it on instruction.
7.2 Our own processing of the client's details is described in our privacy policy.

8. Liability

8.1 Our total liability under any contract is capped at the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim.
8.2 We are not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for the content of third-party services embedded at the client's request (booking software, maps, analytics).
8.3 Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

9. The client's obligations

The client is responsible for the legality of its own trade, including insurance, employment law, accreditation claims and the accuracy of prices and guarantees published on its site.

10. Ending a build

Either party may end a build before approval with written notice. Work done to that date is charged at £75 an hour against the deposit; any balance of the deposit is refunded.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
